Location: Scripps Pier, La Jolla
Overview: Now in its 15th year, the Luau and Longboard Invitational has become the premiere benefit in southern California and is one of the most successful surfing-related fundraisers in the world. It is a unique gathering in the true aloha spirit of those in the business and surfing fraternities who care about cancer research. To date, this event has raised more than $2.6 million to benefit research, education, and outreach programs at the Cancer Center.
Schedule: 7 to 11 a.m.: Longboard invitational competition on the beach by Scripps Pier. Free to watch.
11:30 a.m.: Luau buffet, island music and entertainment, auction, awards ceremony, and more. We invite you to join us as we celebrate 15 years of surfing for a cure!
