Jane,
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. We were on vacation in Nova Scotia and we renewed our wedding vows! We did get good news as well. The procedure was a success and they said we should get a few years out of it! So we are very happy! I hope it goes well for your Dad I will be posting pictures soon. Thanks for asking...Ellen
Hi Jane, Sorry I got confused... that's what happens while I'm just waking up and drinking my first cup of coffee in the morning! I'm glad your dad is thinking about a laptop, making travel plans, etc. All good for his outlook and living life to the fullest of his abilities. Take care, Sue
Jane,
That is the same treatment that they have done twice to my husband. Once in June to the right lobe of his liver and then on Aug. 4th to the left lobe. The first one was successful and shrunk the tumors. So we are hopeful that it works this time as well. We go back on Sept. 3 for a cat scan and to see the doctor.
It is wonderful what they can do now. I do realize that my husband will not be cured, but whatever time this adds to his life, I am truly thankful. Some people that have had procedure have lived for up to 5 years! I hope the best for your Dad.
Hello Jane,
My husband has primary liver cancer and there are several options for it. He just under went a treatment for it last week.
We found out last July and the first tumor was removed with radio frequencey ablation. So there are options. We are here for you. We all need someone to talk to.
Ellen
Hi Jane! I'm a writer too! I look forward to reading about your journey and helping in any way I can. My daughter was recently diagnosed, and as a family member, I certainly understand your many frustrations. Please feel free to e-mail if I can help in any way.
